Mo Ibrahim Foundation GDAI PhD Scholarship | DETAILS
The scholarship is funded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and focuses on supporting African PhD students with projects designed to understand public sector governance capabilities, political settlements, state business relations, the governance of state owned enterprises, the governance of mo-ibrahim-foundation development policy design and implementation, and so on.
To be eligible for the mo-ibrahim-foundation Scholarship, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Must first secure an unconditional offer for the PhD at SOAS University of London in eligible departments.
- Must have obtained relevant bachelor and master’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Demonstrate excellent educational and leadership abilities.

Applications are invited for PhD studentships focused on the area of state capacities, governance and bureaucracy for development. This may include projects designed to understand public sector governance capabilities, political settlements, state business relations, the governance of state owned enterprises, the mo-ibrahim-foundation governance of development policy design and implementation, and so on.
